City Bus

Buses are boarded at the front and exited from the door in the midsection.

If using a travel card, scan it over the card reader when boarding and getting off the vehicle. However, in case of cash payment, the front door shall state that it is paid to the transportation agent. The city of Daejeon has developed an intelligent transportation system, which informs the arrival time of the next available bus through a computer monitor installed at each bus stop.

  • With a free (discount) transfer system in operation in Daejeon, one can transfer up to three times to get to his/her final destination by bus. When transferring to other means of transportation, such as a bus on a regular route or an urban railway, using up to the 4th means of transportation is free. However, a traffic card must be used to transfer.

    • Free (Discount) Transfer :
      • Transfers are available for up to 3 times within 30 min. (60 min. for some routes) after getting off.
    • Free (discount) transfer is not allowed on the same line.
    • The travel card must be scanned at the end of each part of the journey for this to work.
